A high-end Japanese-inspired restaurant and cocktail bar in Alsager has unlocked its new-look terrace and turned the key on a new future.

The Vault in Alsager, housed in the former Barclay's Bank, was forced to take down its old veranda as we revealed here

But now the popular eaterie in Crewe Road has a new outdoor area complete with a retractable roof and windows.

The Vault is part of Caster's of Cheshire Group which also owns Caster's in Alsager said the new-look terrace has received good reviews.

Managing director of Caster's of Cheshire Group, Brad Lancaster, said: "We were fully booked last weekend.

""We're delighted with the new terrace. Good things come to those who wait."

Part of another one has been given a new purpose - repurposed and repainted as the stunning welcome desk to greet diners.

The menu and cocktails are equally as impressive as the new surroundings - with an array of dishes, including sushi and curry to choose from.

Desserts are as expansive as the main course choices, including some unusual ingredients to try.

Drivers needn't put off either – a non-alcoholic Porn Star Martini added just as much sparkle as its alcoholic version.

And the setting and warmth of the new terrace, complete with overhead heaters ,gives it a Mediterranean feel – even when the sun isn't shining.

Good luck to The Vault which has a Facebook page here and other restaurants and eateries and pubs in Alsager.
