The signs are up and the doors are ready to open - the new Sainsbury's superstore comes to town!

The wait is over - supermarket giant, Sainsbury's - is poised to open its second store in the town next Wednesday (February 26th).
Located on the newly created Brunds Farm Road near Linley Lane, the 25,000 sq ft store will open on Wednesday, Feburary 26th at 9am.
The new store, which has been a long time in the making, will be the second Sainsbury's store in the town. The supermarket already has Sainsbury's Local in the town centre in Crewe Road.

Not only will it be big in size, it will also feature state-of-the-art technology and infrastructure that enables it to use much less power on average than a store of a similar size constructed just a few years ago.
Sainsbury's Alsager superstore will also generate some of its own renewable energy onsite with solar panels on the roof. The company is renowed for its energy efficient policies as revealed on their website here
The company's existing Local store in Alsager will continue to trade after the new superstore opens.
The new supermarket will also include a petrol station, a 249-space car park, including 15 disabled spaces, and a Smart Charge hub with 4 ultra-rapid EV charging bays.
Inside, there will also be a 'Changing Places Toilet' to 'help ensure the store accommodates the needs of every customer'.
The store will also include a new Argos store inside the supermarket, enabling customers to choose from thousands of products while picking up their groceries and the retailer's popular Habitat and Tu Clothing ranges will be available to order online for collection in-store via Click & Collect.
Katie Leese, Sainsbury's Alsager superstore manager, said: "I'm delighted to be given the chance to lead the fantastic new Sainsbury's team at our second Alsager store and we're currently working hard to get everything ready for opening day. We're really looking forward to meeting our new customers and playing our part in the local community."
The chain said around 100 jobs would be created at the new store, on the site of the former Twyford Bathrooms site off Linley Lane.
Cheshire East Council gave the go-ahead for revised plans for a Sainsbury's store in Alsager last April.
Workmen are busy adding the finishing touches and finalising the exciting new store which has been a long time coming.
The supermarket giant secured permission for the new store on the site of the former Twyford Bathrooms off Linley Lane in 2014 but it never materialised and the new store is based on the new plans approved last year year.
The planning application also included a S106 agreement including:
- a contribution of £100,000 towards a bus service;
- £100,000 towards footway widening works along Linley Lane;
- £200,000 towards junction improvement works at Linley Lane / B5077;
- £100,000 towards highway improvement works in the local area.
