A group set up to help stroke survivors in Alsager and Crewe recently enjoyed a day trip to Reaseheath mini zoo.

The Stroke Survivors speech language support group, which has a branch in Alsager and Crewe, went to the zoo near Nantwich.

Members enjoyed looking at the animals which included birds, reptiles and insects.

"What a fabulous trip out we had," said Liz Bedson, Stroke Survivors founder and lead volunteer.

"I personally found the leaf ants fascinating. I saw them walking on a rope carrying bits of leaf back to their home!"

Alsager nub news told last year here  https://www.stroke.org.uk/finding-support/clubs-and-groups/stroke-survivors-speech-and-language-groupis how the group had launched a new more user-friendly website.

"We have focused on making it user friendly with lots of interesting information and links to organisations that can support stroke survivors," said a spokesperson.
