Church Lawton School, a special school near Alsager, is celebrating a big achievement after its annual Christmas Fayre exceeded all targets.

The fayre raised raised £868.86 for pupils - its highest yet - and will go towards enhancing experiences and opportunities for the autistic children and young people who attend the school.

Pupils, parents, families, and neighbours from across the local community were welcomed into the school in Cherry Tree Avenue, Church Lawton for an afternoon of festive fun.

Visitors enjoyed a range of stalls and activities, including classic games such as hook-a-duck, tin can alley, higher or lower, and the ever-popular lucky dip.

Younger guests had fun taking part in guessing games including Name the Toy and How Many Items in the Jar?

Another big hit with pupils was a festive photo booth, where pupils posed in front of a green screen. The images were later paired with AI-generated Christmas scenes to create fun festive keepsakes.

There were plenty of seasonal treats on offer too, with hot turkey baps served from the kitchen and handmade cards and Christmas gifts available to buy.

As always, the school raffle proved a major attraction, supported by generous prize donations from families, staff, and local businesses.

Principal Paul Scales said: "We are incredibly proud of our school community. The Christmas Fayre is always a highlight of the year, and raising £868.86 is a phenomenal achievement.

"Every penny will support enriching experiences for our pupils. A huge thank you to our staff, families, and neighbours whose kindness, hard work, and generosity made this event such a success."

Church Lawton School, part of the Liberty Academy Trust, thanked everyone who attended, donated, or volunteered, and said it looks forward to building on the fayre's success next year.
