Cad engineer, Arron Burton, aka Alsager Drone, has always loved computer games and his latest project uses a bit of his technological skills.

The 46-year-old invested in a drone earlier this year and is now fast-becoming known as the king of the skies in and around Alsager.

Arron has set up his own Facebook page, Alsager Drone, here which he updates regularly with the amazing footage he's taken including over Alsager and further afield.

He never leaves home without his drone kit and has spent hours researching and teaching himself how to make the best footage and get the best of our his drone.

"I've done all kinds of things from helping a local farmer whose horse was lost hear the Wilbraham Arms as well as filming footage over a golf course," he said.

"There are rules and regulations you have to follow when flying a drone for height and you have to have a licence.

"I always abide by the regulations and I'm very careful about where I fly the drone and how high it goes."

Arron has taken footage over Alsager including the Club 45 Football Alsager as well as St Bertoline's Church in Barthomley and in Santorini in Greece when he was on holiday recently.

He recently took footage near the Alsager Household Waste Recycling Centre which unearthed colours of the nearby area.

And he's been asked to take aerial footage for an estate agent and is now looking for more commissions or simply helping people with projects.

"Once I've taken the footage I then use a programme to edit it and then choose appropriate music to go with the scene I have shot.

"I really enjoy doing it. It's a hobby but I'd love to take it further and do more. It gets addictive."
