Members of the Alsager branch of the Royal British Legion will be gathering today (Sunday) for a special rose planting ceremony.

The branch has been lucky enough to have a hybrid rose created especially for them – the Ted White rose – in memory of one of their members who passed away last year.

The Vice Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire Joelle Warren is planting the rose for the branch which will be blessed by the Rev'd Michelle Goodrich at Alsager Remembrance garden at the junction of Sandbach Road South and Ashmore's Lane.
