Friday, September 27th

Get your weekend off to a great start with some live music!

The Mere Inn in Crewe Road has 'Pistol Pete'

Meanwhile Bod Alsager has Liam Hulmes playing live at 7.30 pm. Again well worth a visit!

Looking for a book to chill with? Have you been to Alsager Book Emporium in Hassall Road Methodist Chapel in Hassall Road? They have a book on almost every subject and some of them are new, especially cookery books.

Saturday, September 28th

Looking for craft items which are unusual and fun? It's the monthly Craft & Gift Fair at Alsager Civic from 9 am - 1 pm. Crafters, makers, creators , designers and small businesses will all be there.

Feeling stressed or just fancy trying something new? There's the chance to 'heal yourself' at a two-day wellness day weekend at Two Doors Studio in Crewe Road, Alsager. Try your hand at yoga, meditation, forest bathing and creative writing at a donation only event.

Beverly Raftery of Pure Crystals has organised the event as we revealed in our story here . Wellness therapists will showcase their skills on Saturday and Sunday. Just go along and take part in all of the classes or pick a few to try out.

In the evening, The Thirteen Club in Cedar Avenue has The Rockabilly Dolls as well as a tribute to the songs and music of George Formby. Together they will bring an "the songs that won the war show". Tickets are priced at £8.00 for members and £10 for non-members.

Sunday, September 22nd

The wellness weekend continues at Two Doors Studio in Crewe Road, Alsager (details on the poster above).

Meanwhile Alsager Air Cadet Squadron has an open day at their base in Moorhouse Avenue from 10am until 4pm. There will be cadet training demonstrations and the opportunity to become involved with the squadron, either as a cadet or to join the enthusiastic Civilian Committee .

There will also be a sponsored static bike ride with staff members and volunteers taking part. Teas, coffees and burgers will be available.

Fancy some live music? The Mere Inn has 'Harmony Junction' from 5pm until 7pm - a lively musical duo performing a mix of genres from various decades
