Yoga, crystal energy, meditation and forest bathing – these are just some of the activities on offer at a two-day wellness event in Alsager this weekend.

Residents are being offered the chance to try out different forms of wellness therapy and see what works for them.

Wellness therapists are showcasing their skills at the Wellness Weekend on Saturday and Sunday (September 28th and 29th).

Organiser, Beverly Raftery of Pure Crystals said: "It's important to take time out for yourself and look after your own wellbeing.

"You will then be able to nourish and support others and fulfill other parts of your daily life to the best of your ability.

"We're all different so it's important to try different things and see what works for you. By reconnecting with yourself you're able to get through challenging times better.

"You can face anything that's thrown at your because you're equipped with the skills which will help."

Nub News told here how Beverly Raftery, a meditation teacher and crystal healer, had taken on a permanent space at Two Doors Studio in the garden room.

The two-day wellness this weekend takes place in the upstairs studio at Two Doors Studio in Crewe Road and there is free cake and drinks all day.

Beverly added: "Donations are welcome for attendance to sessions if you are able. You can come for all or part of the day or both days. It's completely up to you."
