Saturday, November 23rd

Fancy a craft afternoon with a Christmas theme? There's a chance to make a Christmas tree with a difference at the Oakhanger Centre and to find out how to use all those paperback books which you no longer read! The centre is holding a craft afternoon at 2 pm to make a 'paperback book' Christmas tree. The cost is £15 and places can be booked by phoning the number on the image below. All materials provided plus refreshments.

Sunday, November 24th

It's Alsager Christmas lights switch on when the streets will be full of over 100 stalls. The market at opens at 4 pm. There will be stalls inside and outside and there will be fireworks and a fairground. The event is always hugely successful so get there early - the lights will be switched on at 6 pm when the town will be lit up for the festive season. Check out our story about road closures on Sunday for the event.

Fancy listening to some live music and chilling before the lights switch on? The Mere Inn has the acoustic duo, Northern Lights, playing from 5 pm until 7 pm covering all decades and genres - a chance to chill out either before or after going to see the stalls.

Check out what else is on at The Mere during the festival period here

Have a great weekend!
