January can be a dull and dark month but residents at Twyford House Care Home in Alsager have spilled the beans about how to find happiness in 2026.

Residents at the Richard Woodcock Way home were asked to put their thoughts into words about and what they plan to do this year and their replies were both uplifting and interesting.

One female resident said her resolution was to "be kind to everyone" while another said she wanted to "be able to use her hands and fingers again".

Music is known to help with well-being and one woman said she wanted to "continue being happy and singing" with another resident saying they wanted to "wake up with a smile everyday and to listen to their new classical piano CD".

Spending time with the people they love was also high on the list for two residents with one gentleman saying he "wanted to spend more time with his wife".
