Temperatures have dropped and we're in the run up to Christmas which can be a challenging time for many people but help is at hand at Alsager Community Support.
Alsager Community Support (ACS) has shared a positive look back at the past year after hosting its annual general meeting, celebrating the achievements of its volunteers and partners while outlining plans to support residents through the colder months.

The AGM highlighted another year of significant growth for the charity, with the centre handling more than 3,300 enquiries and helping local people secure an estimated £500,000 in financial benefits, including Personal Independence Payment, Attendance Allowance and other essential checks.
ACS's befriending scheme has also nearly doubled in size, with volunteers making more than 1,400 transport journeys for residents, many to the popular Alsager Lunch Club.
In addition, 110 medical drives have ensured people could reach vital health appointments, and the Home from Hospital service has supported 40 local residents returning home after a hospital stay.

Each figure, ACS says, represents someone who reached out for support - and someone ACS was ready to help.
As temperatures drop, ACS has introduced its Winter Warmth and Emergency Support Fund Campaign to assist individuals and families in Alsager and surrounding areas who may struggle with rising fuel costs or face cuts to essential allowances.
The Emergency Support Fund provides direct help for those in urgent need, including assistance with energy costs, food vouchers and other vital items. Alongside this, ACS's Winter Warmth Campaign offers practical support such as warm-pack bundles to help residents keep comfortable and safe through the colder months.
ACS emphasises its commitment to ensuring no one in the community faces winter alone or without the resources they need.
How to Get Help
Residents who need support, or know someone who does, are encouraged to contact ACS. Volunteers are on hand to provide guidance and practical assistance throughout the winter.
