Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Thursday, 21 May

The Thirteen Club in Cedar Avenue has its weekly Jazz Club. Alsager Jazz Club runs from 8 pm until 10 pm. It's £10 on the door.

Trumpeter and flugelhorn player, John Hulme, makes his debut appearance at the club. John is known for his warm, lyrical style which has made him a familiar face on the Greater Manchester jazz scene.

He is admired for his mellow, expressive sound - drawing inspiration from players such as Tom Harrell and Chet Baker. It's £10 on the door.

The Lawton Arms in Church Lawton has its Thursday poker night from 8 pm until 11 pm. All welcome!

Friday, 22 May

Saturday, 23 May

The Thirteen Club in Cedar Avenue has its 50s, 60s and 70s night.

The Lawton Arms in Church Lawton has a '90's Rewind Party' with DJs outside on the decking. Gazza B is on from 8 pm until 9 pm, with pop and RNB classics, JDJ from 9 pm until 10.30 pm with house classics and Hrly with house classics from 10.30 pm until close.

At Alsager Golf Club Linley, Rob Wheeler is back playing the Beatles from 7.30 pm. Tickets are £10.

Sunday, 24 May

The Lawton Arms has a 'Northern Soul Afternoon' playing on the decking from 3 pm and people are invited to take a picnic, chairs and blankets and listen to the music.

There's a quiz night at the Wilbraham Arms from 6 pm. It's held every Sunday with a selection of prizes to be won.

At the Linley Tavern, there's a 90s event featuring Ibiza classics.

Bank Holiday Monday

Rode Hall at Scholar Green has a Specialist Plant Fair run by Flower Power Fairs from 11 am until 4 pm. There will be a large collection of Northern plant nurseries and accessory stalls. Admission is £6 (includes entry to the gardens). Children £2 (Under 5's free) Tickets can be bought online https://shop.beyonk.com/razf3w7y/experiences/jmrp8rvoor on the gate.
