Thursday, 5 February

Alsager Wellness Rooms in Crewe Road has a six-week course on an introduction to strength training.

It started last week and runs from 12.30 pm until 1.15 pm and runs for six weeks.

In this small-group setting (4-6 people), you'll learn the foundations of effective strength training, with a focus on proper technique in all the key movements.

Resistance bands, bodyweight exercises and small equipment will be used to help build full-body strength, and confidence. This class is perfect for anyone who wants build their strength in a safe supportive environment.

Friday, 6 February

Looking for some reading? Alsager Book Emporium in Hassall Road is open 10 am – 2 pm. Plenty of books to buy, many of them brand new so you can curl up in front of the fire with a cuppa!

Fancy some jazz? The Thirteen Club in Cedar Avenue has a jazz night with songs of the Great American Songbook and more! Entrance is just £5.

Saturday, 7 February

It's the first Rode Hall farmers' market of the year from 9 am until 1.30 pm at Scholar Green with lots of stalls and delicious food. The Snowdrop Farmers' market also coincides with the snowdrop walks as detailed here.

Are you a fan of Abba? UK Bjorn are at Rode Heath village hall. Doors open 7.30pm, take your own drinks and nibbles. Tickets are £15 each/ Details on 01270 878820 (or 07810 307 865) or Sandy on 07788 503 502.

Alsager Town (aka The Bullets) are at home to Shawbury United with a 3 pm kick-off. Go along and support your local team!

Cliff Richard fans will be zoning in on The Thirteen Club where there's a Cliff Richard tribute night. Tickets are £8 for members and £10 for non-members.

Sunday, 8 February

There will be plenty of bargains up for grabs at Alsager Civic's indoor car boot sale from 10 am until 1 pm. Sadly all tables are sold out but don't forget to go along and check out the bargains! It's inside so it doesn't matter about the weather - you'll be warm and cosy and as you browse and the cafe is open to grab something to eat and a coffee!
