Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Friday, June 6th

Fancy a book to curl up in the garden with and read this weekend? Alsager Book Emporium in Hassall Road is open 10 am – 2 pm. Plenty of books to buy, many of them brand new!

Saturday, June7th

Alsager Book Emporium in Hassall Road is open 10 am – 2 pm.

It's Alsager carnival and the town will be awash with the parade and then the rest of the fun taking place at Milton Park. The theme this year is Kids TV so look out for plenty of characters from our television screens.

Here's a story giving details of road closures and a few times - click the link here

The Mere Inn has a fun line-up for the big day, including Mr Bigz throwing out his Afro-Caribbean flavours from the grill and laid-back garden beats from 3 pm until 9pm and the Duo brothers will be keeping the party going from 8.30 pm.

Elsewhere Rode Hall Farmers Market at Scholar Green is on from 9 am until 1.30 pm. There will be fresh vegetables, meat, fish and cheese and flowers from the kitchen garden.

The craft barn with its newly organised layout, will be full of jewellery, leatherware, handwoven textiles, art, ceramics and newcomer The Kokedama Llama with handmade Japanese Kododama.

Dawson Dean will be playing live and the courtyard kitchen will be open serving breakfasts, lunches and homemade cakes.

Sunday, June 8th

Thinking about volunteering but not sure what do do? Alsager Civic has a Volunteer Day to find out more. Just pop along from 3 pm until 5 pm. Studio S will be performing at 4 pm. Contact Cllr Sue Helliwell (details on poster) at Alsager Town Council for more information.
