Rain downpours failed to dampen the spirits of this year's Alsager Music Festival - the second day of which is taking place today (Sunday).

Alsager was alive with the sound of music this weekend - with the music festival which began in 2009.

Umbrellas and Wellington boots were the order of the day yesterday (Saturday) at the all-day event in Milton Park.

Many music lovers sheltered under gazebos while others held umbrellas and danced in the rain to a non-stop line-up of music.

Today (Sunday) the festival carries on at various pubs across Alsager. The annual event has grown and grown and is now attended by more than 5,000 people.

It's organised by a group of local musicians, music enthusiasts, members of Alsager Round Table, Alsager Partnership and the scouts.

Alsager Nub News went along on the first day of the event yesterday (Saturday) to witness some of the fun at Milton Park which had a variety of stalls and stands.

Do you go? Here's hoping everyone has had a fabulous time! Send us your photographs and we'll feature them in a musical festival 2023 special! Email: deborah.bowyer@nub,news
