A road going through Alsager which has been at the centre of many complaints due its uneven surface and potholes is to be resurfaced.

Signs have gone up near Lawton Road to say the road will be closed between 9 am and 3 pm from next Monday (July 7th) until Wednesday (July 9th).

The signs say "advance warning road closed here for carriageway surfacing, weather permitting".

No other information has been given by Cheshire East Council other than a link to One Network where details of the closure are revealed here

It is understood the road closure is for the long-awaited micro resurfacing between Moorhouse Avenue and Ashmores Lane.
