A popular wine bar in Alsager town centre has submitted licensing plans to play music and sell alcohol for an extra hour on Sunday nights.

Fifty Five Degrees, on Crewe Road, Alsager, has submitted a request to Cheshire East Council for a variation to their premises licence.

The business wants to increase the hours for the provision of recorded music and the sale and supply of alcohol on Sundays from 10pm to 11pm.

The wine bar is currently "working hard" towards welcoming back their "fabulous" customers on April 12th.

In a post on their Facebook page, Fifty Five Degrees said: "We will only be able to serve alfresco at first, so we are making improvements to our rear courtyard to create an outdoor area which will be heated and covered."

Fifty Five Degrees' application comes after Nub News reported last week that two other town centre businesses that also form an integral part of Alsager's nightlife hospitality had submitted licensing applications to Cheshire East.

Residents who wish to comment on the licensing application can do so via post or email to [email protected]

Representations shall be made in writing to the below address on or before 15th April.
