Officers investigating reports of a man approaching a 12-year-old boy as he walked home from Alsager School

Officers are currently investigating a report of a man approaching a 12-year-old boy as he walked home from Alsager School on Hassall Road.

An Alsager Police spokesperson said: "While our enquiries continue, we're encouraging parents and children to be extra vigilant.

"The child is safe and well and reported it to police immediately.

"If you have any information please call 101 quoting IML 941529."
