A dog owner is appealing to residents in Alsager and surrounding areas to help track down her beloved dog which has been missing since August.

Kelda North was walking her Romanian rescue dog, Chip, in Alsager near the Fanny Croft car park when it got spooked and ran off into a field near the car park.

Kelda, who has another dog called Fawn, searched the area for Chip with a friend but could not track Chip down. Kela lives in Brindley near Nantwich but was walking Chip with a friend when he went missing.

The pet lover says Chip has been spotted a couple of times in nearby Talke but each time she has been unable to track him down.

Broken-hearted Kelda says her other dog, Fawn, a lurcher is pinning for his pal Chip, who Kelda got from Romanian rescue kennels near Nantwich.

"He's quite a nervous dog so is difficult to catch. He's most likely to be in a field. He hates fireworks and I'm so worried something will happen when all the fireworks start going off.

"It's also getting cold and winter is setting in so I'd love to get him back before it gets really cold. Someone said they saw him at the beginning of the month near Thursfield School."

Anyone who knows where Chip is should give Kelda a call on 07387 390311.
