Alsager medical practice flies the flag for mental health awareness and three charities

An Alsager medical practice was riding the crest of a new wave today (Thursday) after holding a special event to highlight mental health awareness.

A special display was put up in the reception area of Merepark Medical Centre t as well o raise money for three mental health and well being charities - The Charlie Waller Trust, Oxfordshire Community Foundation and Phoenix Heroes CIC.

There was a raffle, book and cake stall as well as artwork by 'Connor's Crafts', 50 per cent of the sale of which is going to the charities.

At today's event was Deborah Cope, who is one of four taking part in the Ocean Empower Atlantic Row 2024, setting off in December sailing 3,000 miles across the sea from La Gomera in Tenerife to Antigua in the Caribbean.

Practice manager at Merepark Medical Centre, Denise Smith, is also co-ordinating the marketing campaign for Ocean Empower Atlantic Row 2024 which will raise awareness of mental health challenges.
