Nub News has officially launched Wilmslow and Alderley Edge Nub News, the latest addition to the growing number of free, online local newspapers.

Edited by local journalist, Jamie Griffiths, our latest site exemplifies the ethos of Nub News by putting local news and community support first.

We want to promote local businesses, traders and charities, while also keeping readers up to date with the latest headlines across Wilmslow and Alderley Edge.

We are confident Wilmslow and Alderley Edge will mirror the huge success of nearby Crewe Nub News.

Launched over three years ago, our Crewe website is now the 'go to' place for local residents who want to know what is happening on their doorstep.

We have fulfilled our pledge to put their town in their pocket, with more than 40,000 readers a week (and 10,500 newsletter subscribers) already checking out our Crewe news pages.

We hope to do the same thing for the people of Wilmslow.

And Nub News isn't just about breaking new stories. Our What's On page keeps locals up to date with events in the area.

We feature local job vacancies, the local property market and offer a comprehensive guide to local companies through our free-to-use local business directory.

We will also include obituaries, such an important feature of local newspapers.

And we invite you, the people of Wilmslow, to contribute via our easy-to-use unique 'Nub It' buttons (News, What's On and Business Directory) which allow you to share your news, views and information directly to the local community – for free.

None of this would be possible though without the support of local businesses keen to engage with their communities.

Across the Nub News network we partner with community-minded companies, from care homes to estate agents, offering them bespoke sponsorship packages.

Our sponsors recognise the unique commitment for quality and localness in the areas we serve.

If you have a business in Wilmslow or Alderley Edge, please talk to us about how we could help promote and grow your business.
