Popular Alsager pub, The Wilbraham Arms, has been closed since the summer while it undergoes a 'major refurbishment'.

The pub in Sandbach Road North is owned by Robinson's Brewery. The Wilbraham Arms, which has new branding and has been advertising for jobs, has given customers a sneak preview of what's going inside including a stunning new bar.

The new-look pub includes a single storey side and rear extension to replace the existing conservatory to form a larger private dining area.

Customers are eargerly awaiting its re-opening which Robinson's hinted would be before Christmas.

A spokesperson told Alsager Nub News: "The stunning bar has now been installed and some decorating has started at The Wilbraham. Everything is coming along nicely and we are super excited to see the progression. Watch this space for more updates."

A Robinson's spokesperson said: "Work is moving along but we don't have a firm date yet."
