Alsager's new high-end Asian cocktail bar and restaurant launched its food menu today (Thursday).

The Vault in Lawton Road opened a week ago but until today had only been serving drinks.

Now the new social dining venue, housed in a converted bank, the town's former Barclays Bank, is offering food.

Head chef is Adam Steele who has worked at Michelin starred venues and for the Queen at Buckingham Palace.

A spokesperson said: "Over the weekend, we welcomed customers into the restaurant for drinks only.

"The weekend was an overwhelming success and we are delighted to be sharing this venue with the public.

"Our booking system has now gone live online. Food will be served from this Thursday (October 13th). "

Owners say they will offer "international cuisine" with an emphasis on food from the far east, including Japanese and Korean style dishes.

Part of Caster's of Cheshire Group, which also owns Caster's in Lawton Road, Bradley Lancaster, of the Caster's group, appointed Daniel Matthias Architecture, to work in partnership with him to transform the building.
