Man and woman taken to hospital following two-vehicle collision in Alsager

A man and a woman were taken to hospital following a two-vehicle collision in Alsager.

Shortly before 6pm yesterday (Friday, 21st May), firefighters were called to reports of a collision involving two cars on Audley Road, Alsager.

A woman had to freed from one of the vehicles by paramedics.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "On arrival the crews assisted in making the scene safe.

"A woman was extricated from the vehicle by paramedics.

"The crews were on the scene for around one hour and 20 minutes."

Two fire engines attended, one from Alsager and one from Kidsgrove.

Yesterday's incident came the day after two people had to be freed from a car that landed on its side following a collision that also occurred on Audley Road.
