Man airlifted to hospital with "serious" injuries following accident in Alsager

A reader has captured the moment an air ambulance landed in the grounds of an Alsager school to airlift a man to hospital following an accident.

Police were called to a collision between a cyclist and a car in Church Road in Alsager at 12.18pm today (Wednesday).

The North West Air Ambulance Service landed a helicopter in the grounds of nearby Alsager School

A police spokesperson said: "A man was been taken to the Royal Stoke Hospital by air ambulance with injuries which are believed to be serious."

Police remained at the scene for some time following the accident. .
