Staff and residents of Lawton Manor Care Home, Church Lawton, celebrated a special 100th birthday this week.

A very happy birthday party was thrown in honor of Edith's special day with balloons, a spectacular cake, many cards and of course the wonderful birthday card from Her Majesty The Queen.

At the birthday tea party, by Edith's special request, staff played The King of Rock n Roll - Elvis and had a great time with armchair hand jive dancing!

When asked, "what is the secret to a long life?" Edith told staff: "Clean Living".

A spokesperson for Lawton Manor Care Home said: "Happy 100th birthday to dear resident Edith, with love from everyone in the Lawton Manor Care Home family."
