Over the weekend, the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) invited you to take part in their Big Garden Birdwatch.

Residents from Alsager and Church Lawton sent their spectacular photos to Nub News and we have put together a little gallery (see above).

The Big Garden Birdwatch is a valuable way of collecting data about different UK bird species, helping the RSPB to understand the challenges faced by our wildlife.

This year, for the first time, the bird count was joined by live events brought to birdwatchers by experts from across the country. These included Q & A sessions, live quizzes, photos and footage of the birdlife spotted throughout the weekend.
