Most young mums struggle to keep organised and on top of tasks which were easy before their life changed looking after little ones.

Being a mum involves constant balancing and juggling but for Lisa Johnson from Alsager, there was also an added problem when she gave birth to her little girl, Skye.

The 35-year-old has autism and needs structure in her life with things being done at certain times and following a routine. She writes things down to remember them and found she was losing notes.

A talented graphic designer, Lisa has worked in a range of industries and it was thanks to having Skye that the idea for her new business 'Roarorganise' was born.

"After a lifetime of living with autism, I was done with planners. Traditional organisers made my brain hurt. The textures were wrong. The layouts were overwhelming. Nothing worked for minds like mine," said Lisa.

"Then baby Skye arrived in July 2024, and my already fragile routines completely vanished! I needed something different - something designed by an autistic brain for neurodivergent minds. "

Enter the 'Roarorganise revolution' as Lisa puts it - a range of sensory stationery, soft to touch made from waterproof vegan materials.

"The organisers are what I would call 'professional grade' - beautiful enough for boardrooms, practical enough for chaos!"

Lisa launched her business earlier this year and has done everything herself - from building the website, designing the products and marketing them.

The cover for the products comes in a range of colours from brown, pink, blue and green and the products allow you to build your own order according to your needs.

"My brain needs clarity and I write lots of things down. The stationery is designed to help other people like me. It's been described as a 'modern day Filofax'. Lots of people use their phones to make notes but I like to write everything down.

"What happens if our phones or laptops stop working? If things are written down on paper we always have them."

Lisa's logo is a lion as both and her daughter were born in August and the family's dog, Hugo, thinks he's a lion says Lisa. "It just seemed natural to use a lion as the logo."

She will have a stall at Sunday's Christmas lights switch on in Alsager and is also planning other exhibitions.

"I ship all over the country as well as worldwide. The products have gone down well in Australia and America as well as the UK," she said.
