From Rode Heath to the Tower of London - local resident to perform at famous venue

A Rode Heath resident is getting ready to sing at the Tower of London at Christmas time with the choir she belongs to.
Lisa Humphries will join other members of the MicWire choir for a performance at the famous London attraction.
MicWire, who meet every Wednesday at The White Lion in Weston near Crewe, will perform in London on 13 December.
Lisa said: "I am excited to sing at the Tower of London again this Christmas with MicWire on. It's such an honour."
But it's not the first time Lisa has been in the spotlight. A member of Crewe Amateur Musicals Society (CAMS), Lisa played the leading role of shop steward Connie in CAMS' production of 'Made in Dagenham' in March as we revealed here

She said previously: "When I turned 50, I decided I wanted a new challenge and joined CAMS. I've always loved singing. This will be my third show and we all can't wait to get on stage."
A spokesperson for MicWire said: "Three years ago at Christmas time, MicWire had the opportunity to go and perform at The Tower of London on a massive choir spectacular day.
"We loved itso much and made memories for a lifetime so this year we've decided to go back and do it again!
"Join our choir for loads of singing, fun times, great opportunities and fabulous people. If you'd like to join us in London for Christmas 2025, you'll have to join us for rehearsals on Wednesday evenings 7:30pm."
Good luck to Lisa and other members of MicWire as they get ready to perform.
