The countdown is to Alsager Round Table's big fundraising bonfire night which is just days away this weekend.

Fire performers will be in front of the bonfire while a DJ stage sponsored by M6 Bed Warehouse will be pounding out all the latest hits at Alsager Round Table at Alsager Round Table's charity bonfire night on Saturday (7 November).

Alsager Round Table ran a firework poster competition for youngsters aged five to 16 to win tickets for the event and five lucky children at Cranberry Academy have all won free tickets for the event.

There will be a fairground, street food stalls, a live DJ and entertainment at the event which takes place behind The Plough in Alsager. Gates open at 4 pm, the fire is lit at 5 pm and the fireworks begin at 7 pm.

Daz Antrobus, press officer of Alsager Round Table said: "The standard of entries for the poster competition was high so we decided to choose five winners.

"We're certain they will have a fabulous time on Saturday. Tickets are still available so get yourself along to what promises to be the biggest and best display to date."

Tickets cost £10.75 (£10.00 + £0.75 booking fee) and children under 16 (under 3 years free) £7.75 (£7.00 + £0.75 booking fee) while a family (2 adults, 3 children) costs £30 plus a booking fee and are available from here

Daz added: "All money goes back into the local community, helping individuals, schools and organisations and also helping to fund other events like the Christmas light switch-on and carnival."
