Firefighters were called to Hassall Road in Alsager late last night, after a car collided with a wall.

One fire engine from Alsager attended the scene at around 11.56 pm as the vehicle was leaking petrol.

A Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: "The crew stayed at the scene while a recovery company moved the car.

"They had a hose reel jet in place and an environmental pack was used to clear the petrol leak."
