Firefighters issue advice after they were called to put out garden bonfire in Alsager

Firefighters have today issued a reminder about the danger of lighting bonfires in your garden after they were called to put out one in Alsager.
One hose reel was used by firefighters from Alsager Fire Station to put out a bonfire in a garden in Elm Grove, Alsager at 10.23 pm on Wednesday (June 15th) night.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service say there are no specific laws against burning rubbish in your garden or having a bonfire in your garden but there are several laws that deal with the nuisance that fires or bonfires can cause.
Now they are urging residents to take care and follow the guidance detail on their website which can be found here https://www.cheshirefire.gov.uk/public-safety/home-safety/burning-rubbish-bonfires-and-the-law
