Firefighters were called to put out a fire in a garage in Sandbach Road North last night (Thursday).

One fire engine and a rapid response unit from Alsager went to the blaze at 9.05 pm.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "A small fire in a disused garage was put out by firefighters using a hose reel jet."
