Firefighters have issued advice about the dangers of bonfires after trees and a fence caught fire.

One fire engine from Alsager and another from Crewe were called to Hassall Road in Alsager at 9.20 pm on Saturday.

The fire which started due to embers from a nearby bonfire, spread around 40 metre and across a rubber topped compound area.

Firefighters used a thermal imaging camera along with a digger to dig into the rubber to check it had not spread further.

Now Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service has issued advice about bonfires here.
