It's Alsager Gardens Association's annual show tomorrow (Saturday) which draws entries from far and wide,

Last year a giant cabbage, cakes, flowers, vegetables galore and handicraft were all on show and it is set to be the same tomorrow when the event opens at 2 pm at Alsager Civic,

The event attracts entries from across the town as well as many members of the association.

Cheshire East Mayor and Alsager councillor, Rod Fletcher, officially opened Saturday's event at Alsager Civic.

He said the event showcased the wonderful work of keen gardeners and others taking part.

Trophies and prizes are set to be presented by the Alsager Mayor, Councillr Jane Hearne.

Last year, several initiatives were used to reduce the carbon footprint including reusable table cloths made from recycled tyres and the show schedule sent out by email.

Further details can be obtained from the association's Facebook page here
