Now he's back in the UK with another album written, featuring songwriter hall of fame member Steve Dorff; 2023 Grammy nominated Jeff Trott and a whole host of acclaimed Nashville writers.

The songsmith has spent around two months over the course of two trips collaborating with some of the best that the "city of music" has to offer.

Rob, who lives in Haslington, will be splitting his time between his private studio and his labels studio in London where he will be recording and mixing his eagerly anticipated next album.

"It's a blend of the type of country music and Americana that I love but still staying absolutely true to my British roots in terms of my lyrics and subject matter," said Rob.

"I have to truly believe what I sing. Some of the conversations with the writers and producers I had the privilege to work with out there all proved we had a very similar outlook on why the blend works.

"Country music is the folk music of America and that folk music originated here in the UK. The first settlers taking their stories and songs with them which have developed and flourished into a myriad of genres over the centuries.

"I am drawing from that deep well … mixing traditional and organic elements with modern production and sounds and I think we will have something really special to share when this album is finished."

In the meantime though, Rob Wheeler fans have plenty to listen to with his previous albums, "MidWinter Songs" and "Live and Lonely in London".
