Popular local favourite, Home Coffee and Studi in Lawton Road has joined forces with small-batch speciality roaster, Tilted Coffee, bringing coffee roasting into the heart of Alsager.

Home Coffee's former studio space has now become a working roastery, where Kris, founder of Tilted Coffee, has begun production on a ground-breaking electric roaster, after outgrowing his previous setup.

The partnership means coffee-lovers can now enjoy expertly brewed cups made from beans roasted right on site.

"We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Kris and Tilted Coffee into our space," say Alex and Nikki, owners of Home Coffee.

"We first met soon after opening over three years ago and knew there was potential to do something meaningful together.

"This isn't just about serving great coffee — it reflects an ethos of collaboration, community, and showing what Alsager can be when small businesses support one another."

Tilted Coffee, also a family-run business, has built a reputation for clean, expressive coffees roasted with curiosity and care.

"The idea grew from a simple moment — tasting exceptional filter coffees from Denmark and Norway and realising how bright and surprising coffee could be," explains Kris.

"That style was hard to find here at the time, so I began roasting. What started on a small home setup has now grown into Tilted Coffee, and moving up to the new P3000 roaster from Roest — one of only a few in the UK — allows us to roast with even greater precision right here at Home Coffee in Alsager."

Both businesses share a belief in doing things properly, paying attention to the details, and creating something genuinely positive for the local community.

"We're excited to roast here in Alsager, explore new coffees, and give people a chance to see what goes into turning green beans into a cup of coffee worth remembering."

In addition, Home Coffee has launched Home Barista and Latte-Art courses and, together with Tilted, plans to expand coffee-education opportunities with workshops, tasting events, and behind-the-scenes sessions.
