Alsager Swans issue appeal to local swimmers to volunteer on Sunday afternoons

Alsager Swans are looking for volunteers who can spare an hour or two on a Sunday afternoon to assist in the pool with their swimmers.

The swim times are 4pm to 5.30pm and there are two sessions held at Alsager Leisure Centre which last 30 minutes each.

Full training is given using the Halliwick way of teaching. Volunteers don't have to be a swimming teacher - they just need to 14 or over, love the water, be able to swim 50 metres and love supporting people to enjoy the freedom that water has to offer.

Alsager Swans is a disabled swimming and water therapy charity. A DBS check would be required which Alsager Swans would pay for.
