Alsager School heaps praise on students for an "exceptional" set of GCSE grades

Students and staff at Alsager School are today (Thursday) celebrating an "exceptional" set of GCSE results, marking a fantastic milestone in students' educational journeys.
The school says many students have achieved grades that "exceed national expectations", with strong performances across a wide range of subjects.
Year 11 students have been praised for their "hard work, resilience, and commitment" to learning in the face of the challenges of recent years.
The school says the results reflect their "determination and the strength of the school community".
Lianne Jardine, Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for achievement said: "It was a real pleasure to work with the Y11 cohort.
"They were our Covid group; they came to us having missed out on the last term of Y6 and were thrown straight into secondary school life.
"They worked hard and fully embraced our culture of being 'a caring community, an achieving school'. None more so than Alex, who not only achieved all grade 9s and a grade 8 but supported his peers by hosting revision support sessions!"
Headteacher, Andrea O'Neill commented: "These results are a testament to the incredible effort of our students and the dedicated support from staff and families.
"I want to congratulate every student – not only for their academic achievements but also for the personal growth, maturity, and courage they've shown throughout their GCSE studies.
"We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them and we look forward to welcoming many of our students back into our Sixth Form in September, where they will continue to build on this success."
