Alsager School has retained the South Cheshire Schools Athletics trophy for the second year running.

The school recently competed against 10 other South Cheshire schools at the Cumberland Arena in Crewe.

Ninety Alsager pupils took part in the event with the school placed in the top three in each category and coming first in the competition overall.

A spokesperson from the PE department said: "This is an absolutely brilliant set of results, with some great individual performances but more importantly a huge team effort to retain the South Cheshire Schools Athletics trophy from last year."
