Alsager School is celebrating an "excellent" set of GCSE and vocational results, including BTEC and Cambridge National qualifications, achieved by its Year 11 students..

The school says students' 'hard work, determination and commitment" has paid off, with achievements across a range of subjects.

And the results, say the school, will enable students to progress confidently to their next steps, whether this is continuing into Sixth Form, undertaking an apprenticeship or moving into another form of education or training.

Headteacher, Andrea O'Neill, said: "We are incredibly proud of our students. Their determination, resilience and commitment have been rewarded with a great set of GCSE and vocational results, opening the door to an exciting range of next steps.

"Results day is an important moment, but behind every grade is a story of perseverance, growth and ambition.

"I would also like to thank our staff for their expertise and commitment, and our families for the support they have given throughout the students' time at Alsager School.

"Most of all, congratulations to every student. We wish them every success as they take their next steps."
