An Alsager resident has applied to Cheshire East Council for permission in principle to build up to five homes on land in Audley Road, Alsager.

The planning application here says the site forms part of the extensive rear garden to an existing residential property.

It states: "Number 64 Audley Road is a two-storey residential dwelling with a detached garage that forms part of a ribbon development alongside the main highway which leads out of Alsager towards the south.

"The site is immediately surrounded by high density residential use displaying a mixture of traditional and modern style housing in the local area, amongst them terraced, semi-detached and detached.

"A number of cul-de-sacs are also present in the locality which run westerly off Audley Road and extend the built development further into the countryside than the application site.

"To the east and south, the site itself is immediately surrounded by the remaining curtilage of 64 Audley Road and the highway. Further south are the properties which align the cul-de-sac of St Andrews Gardens.

"To the north of the site lies Fanny's Croft, a private road leading to a number of farms and a council owned car park. To the west of the site are a number of farmer's fields which extend towards Radway Green Business Park."

The application further says that access to the site is via the domestic access point and driveway to number 64 Audley Road which is flanked by residential use and lies within the settlement zone line of Alsager.
