A South Cheshire hospice is inviting families going big on their festive decorations to sign up to their appeal.

Fundraisers at St Luke's are calling on people to light up their homes and garden this Christmas to support the hospice.

The aim of the festive fundraiser 'Dazzling Displays' will raise vital funds for patient care at the hospice.

Angela Slack, community partnerships manager for St Luke's Hospice, said: "From glittering windows, to multi-coloured porches and Santa's climbing down the chimney, we all love to see homes lit up for Christmas.

"We know lots of people are going big on Christmas decorations this year and are putting them up early.

"It has been such a gloomy year so why not bring some Christmas cheer and community spirit to your local area and help raise some much needed funds for St Luke's at the same time."

People signing up for the fundraiser will get a collection bucket and festive poster from St Luke's which can be displayed in a prominent place, while with permission, display details can be added to an online trail map so people can visit on their Christmas walks.

Passers-by can show their appreciation by either dropping a donation into the collection bucket for St Luke's, texting Dazzle to 70085 to donate £5*, or scanning a QR code on the poster to donate through JustGiving.

For more information and to sign up for the fundraiser by Friday, November 27 visit St Luke's website.
