Alsager gets ready to stage its annual music festival set to be bigger and better than ever before
Alsager will be alive with the sound of music on the weekend of July 12th and July 13th - when this year's music festival comes to town.
Alsager Music Festival started in 2009, "as a way to provide young people with a summer event to fill the long holidays" and a chance for musicians to perform at a free music festival.
Now the annual event, which takes place at Milton Park on Saturday (July 12th) and at various pubs across the town on Sunday (July 13th), has grown and grown.
It's now attended by more than 5,000 people, watching hours of music across various stages and puts the town on the map with its 'mini Glastonbury'.
The event, which has its own website here is organised by a group of local musicians, music enthusiasts, members of Alsager Round Table, Alsager Partnership and the scouts.
Organisers said: "Stath’s Stage showcases a wide variety of music to a large crowd. The Sunken Garden offers a more intimate atmosphere, hosting acoustic performances, while the Marquee provides a platform for young musicians to perform in front of an audience for the first time, along with other local talent.
"Meanwhile, The Concrete Stage hosts local DJ’s playing a variety of electronic dance music. For those who prefer to relax and enjoy live music in a cozy setting, local pubs also feature music throughout the weekend.

"As a fully volunteer-run, non-profit event, all funds raised are either donated to local charities or reinvested to support the festival’s future. If you’d like to get involved and help make the event a success, please reach out to us."
Tickets cost £13.45 for over 18s and £11.25 for under 18s and are available here
Free programmes will soon be available throughout the town.
