In the early hours (3am) of Saturday morning, firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish a bin which was "well alight" on Crewe Road, Alsager.

Firefighters from Alsager Fire Station have attended a "spate of deliberate" bin fires over the last couple of months.

Alsager Police stated there has recently been a couple of incidents of bin fire's in Alsager around the Milton Park area.

An Alsager Police spokesperson said: "This is unacceptable and anyone found to be involved will be dealt with accordingly.

"If anyone has any information of those involved, please call 101 to report this."

Alsager Police are currently investigating these incidents and checking CCTV in those areas.
