A cat currently being fostered in Rode Heath is after a permanent home.

Bertie is an adorable Persian cat currently up for adoption in Macclesfield.

RSPCA Macclesfield had this to say about the cat's back story: "Bertie was found straying. He had some conjunctivitis and chemosis but is OK now after treatment at Greater Manchester Animal Hospital.

"His mobility was slightly affected by severe matting around his back end and he also had a wound. He has been neutered, chipped and has started vaccinations. He has been tested negative for FIV and FeLV."

The RSPCA say Bertie will make a lovely addition to any home where he can enjoy the outdoors as well as home comforts.

"Bertie is a real character. He is friendly, sociable and high maintenance. As with any Persian cat he needs regular brushing and his eyes cleaned daily.

"When you groom him he likes to groom you back. Parts of his fur are now growing back where the vets had to clip out lots of matts."

The male feline is around 18 months old and more details can be found lout about him here .
