He said in a report: "The Cheshire East Local Plan shows 550 houses to be built on the former Caradon Bathroom site and Cardway Cartons.

"If you deduct 105 houses to be built on the Cardway site that leaves 445. There is currently a road haulier using part of this site as a base. Also a care home has been built on this site.

"An outline planning permission for 335 houses was approved. A detailed planning application for 269 houses was approved.

"Most of these properties are now lived in. Alsager Town Council objected to having a through road on this site.

"Cheshire East said that an estate of over 250 houses must have two access/egress points.

Cheshire East planning claim that modern estates are designed that vehicles will only be travel on them at 20 mph. However, it is believed that It may not effect to S U V 's and electric vehicles to the same extent.

"A recent check has shown that the average speed on vehicles travelling on Richard Woodcock Way is 27 mph. Local residents are concerned for the safety of their children.

"The developer has put up miniscule 20 mph signs. These are currently not enforceable."
