The owner of an Alsager restaurant used the venue's award-winning roast formula to cook up a storm for the former World's Strongest Man, Eddie Hall.

Legendary chef, Brad Lancaster from Caster's in Lawton Road, prepared a slap-up feast for Eddie Hall's 35th birthday at his Staffordshire home.

Eddie won the 2017 World's Strongest Man contest and has won plenty of other titles around the world.

And on the menu was a 'Surf and Turf' roast dinner featuring a 32 oz Tomahawk steak and a range of other delights including Caster's Yorkshire puddings.

The Surf and Turf roast also included chilli and garlic king prawns, cavolo nero, truffle mash, tenderstem broccoli and beef dripping gravy.

Canapes included beetroot and parmesan blini , shin of beef arancini and gruyere and truffle mayo.

Brad said he was delighted that he could take Caster's award-winning formula to cook for the strongman's birthday.

"Our team works endlessly to make sure our customers get the best food and service possible and this is another accolade," he said.

Alsager Nub News revealed last week that Caster's ranked ninth in the country in a list compiled by the blog, 'Rate Good Roasts'. You can read the story here https://alsager.nub.news/news/local-news/alsager-restaurant-makes-it-into-top-10-for-britains-best-roast-dinner-166626

Caster's achieved a score of 85 per cent in the list compiled which looked at roast dinners all over the country.
