Alsager and District U3A is getting ready to welcome new members as it gears up for the start of its Autumn term.

The thriving organisation has 850 members and 55 group activities and opens its doors for the new term on Monday (September 5th).

"You could find an activity that interests you. If you are not a member or have lapsed you can join on line from the

website.

"We have a very active Monday morning at Alsager Civic Centre. There is a Help Desk where questions will be answered

and individuals can become members.

"The group activities, which take place at Alsager Civic on Mondays are card making music appreciation and talk time.

"Our AGM will take place on the 24th of October 2022 at Alsager Civic.

As usual, we will be requesting for volunteers to be new members for the committee and newgroup leaders.

"Our current secretary will be stepping down at the AGM and an appeal is being made to anyone who feels they could take on this role, with the possibility of

help from other volunteers.

"Please put yourself forward if you have the time and the

skills. The U3A cannot have a committee without a Secretary.

"Our Open Day will be at the end of November and will showcase examples of what the

group does and allow members to ask questions."

Further details about the group can be found on their website at https://www.alsageru3a.org.uk
