Alsager Town Football Club is hoping it's third time lucky for their new first team manager at the Wood Park team.

Alsager Nub News revealed yesterday click here. that they had named

Ricardo Reeves as their new first team manager. Ricardo, who lives in Manchester and is a scout for Blackburn Rovers and Wigan Atheletic, is the third first team manager this season. He has taken over from Noel Dempsey, who left the club last week after being with them for just four months. Prior to that, the Bullets were managed by Brian Wilson who left to spend more time with his family. The Bullets are based at Wood Park Stadium in Alsager and are currently members of North West Counties League Division One. Club chairman Terry Greer said Ricardo's first job will be to keep the Bullets out of the relegation zone. He said he had decided to replace Noel Dempsey with a new manager due to poor results. "Hopefully it will work out this time. Ricardo will be concentrating on keeping the side out of the relegation zone. "He will then be building a side good enough to be in the top half next year. We have some vital matches ahead. "Ricardo was recommended to us. He has lots of contacts and we're looking forward to working with him." The chairman said previous negotiations with Sandbach United's former first team manager, Andy Hockenhull and another name from Sandbach United had not worked but they were still on the "sidelines" helping out. "They are still involved on the sidelines if you like," the Alsager chairman told Alsager Nub News. Ricardo's first match in charge as first team manager is tomorrow (January 29th) when the Bullets meet Abbey Hulton United away with a 3pm kick-off. Alsager Nub News wishes them the very best of luck.
